Single Player - How do I load a save

I've left the game this morning after dying and I came back to it hours later. I go to load a save, I see my save but nothing happens. What key do I press to open it up or has it been corrupted? I started a new game, had my character and missing food in the vending machine. Left the game saw both saves but again could not open either one.
Help me find out what to do? I must be missing something simple here.

Not too sure about that unless something is bugged/glitched out. Normally after you select the world you select start server in the bottom right corner of the menu.

I have HOST GAME, yet I have Singleplayeer Only checked. In that same area I have Modify Sandbox settings, open save folder and delete save.


Okay, I fearlessly went with Host Game and that is the way in. Thanks for your help.
