I was more just thinking something that allows human senses to detect radiation.

Oh course you can see radiation with your eyes, those are the now dead spots in your vision from all the ionizing radiation.
It's also really silly when you stop to think my character is ninja quiet stepping past monsters while carrying 50 sheets of paper, a huge bundle of cloth, several table legs and a full size fridge.
I haven't tried sneaking through an air vent with a fridge though. I need to try that.
Wait, don't get me started on air vents. Air vents are designed to hold...air not people :)

I'm just messing with you though. Yeah, it did hit me straight away when I saw the pixels and said nope that's not how it works. I did think it was cool though.

the white specks in your vision are imitating what happens when a CMOS sensor (like in a digital camera) is exposed to radiation. search "cmos sensor radiation" on youtube.
