As you need a source of .308 ammo, they also drop their hoods and rifles. But yeah I agree. They're a pain in the ass.
I have to say that the sniper respawns has been relatively good. I've seen one or two key spots not respawn, which helps a lot with just basic moving around.
even if i'm right ontop of their spot when I load in. they still spawn lol
Glad I built an outpost in the Hydroplant.
It's an exercise of patience trying to hit the snipers while they're also actively shooting back, potentially causing heavy bleeding.
They also HATE if you built anything in their LoS, spending hundreds of bullets to destroy a barricade, without caring for ammo :P

That said, there is a lone outlet under the staircase leading up to the central sniper, though. Instead of putting a crafting bench down, I pulled a line of extension cables up the stairs and placed 3 Teslas and a big battery next to the sniper spawn.
Can't wait to see if that'll stop him from being a problem.
