The third release on the road map said it was the final chapter. Are we expecting that to be full release?

Pretty much.
The original roadmap and FAQ they had they said after Early Access release they expected major updates every 2-3 months and the final game to be released 8-12 months. I mean, that is all subject to change but that is what they vision currently.

I haven't seen anything about that.

The roadmaps, both of them, even go far as to hint at continued support after 1.0.

It doesn't make sense to me to start planning a sequel before your game is even half completed.

I imagine so - if the new sections are like the old ones then 7-8 sections would be like 15-20 hours of stuff sans padding, which is rather Quite a Lot

I'm hopping that the game opens up to modding on full release. The map design and underlying mechanics are good enough to support many kinds of gameplay, such as a harsher zombie survival, amongus, scavenger hunts, etc., and the simplified graphics would make it *relatively* easier for modders to alter or create new maps, portal worlds, etc.

Modding support is planned, but first the devs need a good foundation for it.

It's anyone's guess on if it will come about at full release or sometime just before.

Never thought of that, but yeah, the simple graphics would make adding in custom graphics a lot easier. I'm not sure they'd do 1.0 as soon as the last map is released, they might still want to do a little more polishing and features. But I don't think it would be far off, so yeah. I imagine 1.0 will be around that time.
