Who restocks my water coolers?

In my 2 player multiplayer game some water coolers regrow clean water in them in offices level 2 for some reason. We have a base in the security room on that same level and every few days or so there's just more water in the water coolers.

I swear they shouldn't ressuply themselves, I haven't seen any regrow water when I was playing on my own. I'm the host and the only time we're not exploring together is when one of us is sitting at base crafting/cooking, so we had an argument about this, I was saying that water coolers don't respawn water in them and my friend had the opposite idea. We decided to do it the scientific way, we went to the water coolers my friend mentioned, they collected all the water from these coolers, then we continued to explore the facility, always staying together but not visiting that place with water coolers, a few in game days pass and we decide to go back there to check and lo and behold, there was clean water in the previously emptied water coolers.

This is very strange because there are a few other coolers we run by often but they never seem to refill. If this is not intended behaviour by the devs, I suspect there's either something wrong with those particular coolers on level 2 of offices or there's some sort of a desync issue because my friend usually goes there on their own to collect clean water for our crops.

I've seen these watercoolers respawn entirely after collecting them. So maybe it's that.

It's the Leyak or something. He's trying to pre-emptively make up for being an annoying little piece of ♥♥♥♥.

I did hear that one water cooler next to Abe and Janet respawns, and that others may respawn as well.

Not sure if that last effect is intentional...
or your host set the game to respawn loot in the facility.

I was the host and I kept all the settings default. Also it was only the water inside the coolers, not coolers themselves respawning, we didn't pick up or move those coolers. None of the ones we moved to our base had respawning water.

Sounds like that's the culprit then. Might be the same sort of mechanic the sinks operate on.

My sister asked the same question. I kept removing the empty ones and replacing them with new, full ones once we hit Labs, because of the one that respawns by Janet and Abe. I would also blame the coworker.

According to company code, the robots are excellent at replenishing the vending machines; perhaps someone has altered them to carry and replenish water?

I thought about this too but I'm still not sure if this only happens in multiplayer or singleplayer too.

Some coolers respawn, like the one near train portal, respawns super quick
