Fortitude training
I found the biggest gain is also the riskiest(?), smoke inhalation at the train. Anyone else?

Whenever I feel silly and want to get some XP for that, I just walk outside my base and touch the live wire that's hanging from the ceiling.

I have issues with the smoke from the train, given you still get hurt while in an 'air tight' hazmat suit. :steamfacepalm:

maybe it`s the heat that`s hurting you, not the asphyxiation or bad chemicals

I've found it to be fair xp, about near 40 xp at present, did NOT think of the wire and given it's location near power it'd be quite ideal with healing cases and a charger. That said it is a long grind if one aims for high/cap level.

I wore a gas mask AND hazmat suit, train smog still kills.

It hurts you and can quickly kill you, stating you suffocated to death (or whatever the exact message is), even though you can be underwater for way longer without issues.

If it was heat or chemicals, it should say so. But also what good is a hazmat suit if it can't protect from hazardous chemicals?

The simple answer is that it is a death wall to make you go down into the train.

You're all overthinking it, it's simple:

it's anomalous smoke.

That doesn't simplify it, it complicates it!

If it is anomalous, then why can't we bottle it or something and use it!?:steammocking:

it would probably destroy the bottle

I dunno, but a train that has to keep running in order to keep reality intact probably doesn't have perfectly normal exhaust.

My goto for power leveling fortitude is to put a bed and storage chest by the flooded room on lvl 2 of the offices, strip down and put everything in the chest and set my spawn point at the bed there. Then just jump in the water and die repeatedly. Been getting about 50 ish xp per death and so far got to lvl 8. From rough calculations, it's somewhere around 400-450 deaths to max fortitude. Not the most exhilarating gameplay (it's downright boring honestly), but it's very effective.

Alternatively, I've also jumped off a roof in Flathill where it breaks both my legs, then use 2 splints and a couple healing syringes to level my medical at the same time. Fortitude gains are slower, but it's less monotonous.

Is there even a point to trying to grind any skill up besides like, sneaking and accuracy?

*accuracy and sharp weapons.

You can get some neat bonuses from leveling some skills.

It's surprising what you can get skillups off of

Sharp and blunt affect damage, reload does speed up the animation a little bit but it's really small increments, fortitude quietly gives you a tiny bit of extra hp, stuff like that.
Not sure about the non-combat related skills, though.
