LASER REFLECTOR PORTAL

after a while of messing around with the reflector trying to aim the laser at the tiny portal ball me and my duo finally got it, it made a glass breaking sound then disappeared, anyone know what to do next?

also a gel tub in an item stand placed on a table or any flat surface looks like a mini lava lamp have fun scientist

it opens up a portal at the big blue machine up the ramp near the containment elevator. if you can complete it, its actually a second route that also puts you right by the entrance to the next area you have to go to. its fairly optional, however the portal has a few specific goodies you can farm there.
