Military weapons.
Military weapons are not convincing me. Dont know what to think about the military weapons, they are not bad, not op. But I don't like how fast they break, specially the SMG, wich it feels disappointing because you needed to craft the special armor to operate the military weapons, not easy, take it time and pacience. And then you discover this SMG it is objectively inferior compared the the regular 9mm gun.....soooo maybe we need a way to fix military weapons, maybe with rare items, a device for it, or something like tath...

The military weapons are all garbage and not worth it, imo. Armor is extremely powerful in this game, especially the set bonuses. IT's just not worth never being able to utilize set bonuses either to use a slightly better gun that you don't have to craft yourself and can't repair yourself. The grinder disc thrower and the arc gun (forgot their real names off the top of my head) both destroy things handily and don't require you to sacrifice your armor set bonus.

You are right, but I just WANT to use those weapons, I just like.

BTW, for the revolver it is worth to leave the armor arms, I mean 100 dmg at the head means one shot almost every enemy...

i would say it's aaaalmost worth sacrificing the armored arm slot just for the revolver and shotgun alone. Since they can nearly one shot any enemy in the first 2 major sectors and the shotgun, if shot at point blank, can do alot of damage. Submachine gun needs a buff or something though.

Well, not the shotgun, since there's a shotgun that doesn't require the armband and does more burst damage.

And can be repaired with metal scrap.

I'm not sure being able to repair them is worth the effort. They drop from enemies, so when one breaks, just use one of those.

Technically you still have the set bonus. You just don't have the full set bonus, since you'd be wearing less than 4 pieces.

the durability may be actually realistic with how fast they break irl, but this is still ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Not even close. You'd have to seriously abuse a real firearm to break them that fast. They don't stop working after a couple mags worth of ammo, unless you bought some absolute garbage.

the average army guy can somehow ♥♥♥♥ up a m16 enough that most parts need to be replaced

Fun pint, but it's because it's the army. It's a giant mixed bag when it comes to people, they reuse old equipment and they get the cheapest stuff they can. That's what "military grade" is. A contract auction for the lowest bidder. It's also where you'd get the most wear and tear on a firearm anyway. Most people don't have to go do things in the field or the kind of training that slams a firearm into the ground every couple minutes.

Nothing we do in game would result in that level of wear. It's fun to see actual gunsmiths breaking down an item they've already put a thousand rounds through with minimal maintenance. They're almost always in far better condition than most of what the military keeps around.
my biggest gripe is the order's SMG. just 15 rounds in the mag? really? for a mag that size? the pistol that fires the same rounds somehow could fit 8 rounds yet that thing could only hold almost twice the bullet. the recoil is crazy, the reload is cumbersome, and you can forget about damage. the other order's guns are crap but at least there is a defining purpose in them, i just couldnt find any in the smg.

This is a lie, I was in the infantry for 6 years. For one thing, we don't even use m16's anymore, we use m4's except in training, where we still use m16a1's that have been in the service longer then I've been born. That ♥♥♥♥ is durable, thats why we ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ use them.

Anyway, im all for the videogaminess of making durability crap just to keep you constantly hunting for resources. I think the game went a bit overboard on that regard though, but that's the beauty of customize-able settings, which I love the devs for adding so many sliders and options. My main gripe with the order weapons is the biometric armguards taking up an extremely valuable armor slot. I think it should take up your trinket slot or something. By the time you get accuracy 8 or 10, I Don't remember what level you unlock them, and have access to the materails to craft the armguards, you also have access to, in my opinion, significantly better weapons.

All this time, when it was teased in a Playtest and demo, I thought the bio-metric thing would have been on the watch slot.:steamsad:

It really feels like the devs have pre-nerfed lootable weapons quite a bit.

Like someone said before devs want to give importance to "scientific" weapons. But I got various 64 9mm ammo stacks, an you know, it would be nice to waste it with the SMG, you know, it's nice to blow one mag in the face of a enemy.... if it weren't for the SMG breaking at the speed of light! ☹️

scientific weapons my ass.
-Why would i want to use this piece of junk over an actual gun?
-well since real guns are ♥♥♥♥ in out game you get no choice lmao
