If I host via ingame menus it works for sure though, so it might be more reasonable to create a world first via ingame, but don't go in the world yet. Then copy and paste this world into the dedicated server's world folder.
Since you're using default settings the file will be empty.
You can use these for reference
https://github.com/DFJacob/AbioticFactorDedicatedServer/blob/main/SandboxSettings.ini
https://github.com/DFJacob/AbioticFactorDedicatedServer/wiki/Technical-%E2%80%90-Sandbox-Options
(makes it easier later)
then start the new game and once you're in the new game and can walk around, exit back to main menu.
next part is, load game, there you should have two to choose from.
your original save and the new one.
now click the new save and press the "open save folder"
(you should get a windows file manager open)
enter the folder for the new save, in it should be a file called "SandboxSettings.ini"
right click and copy.
then go back a folder and enter the original save folder, paste the "SandboxSettings.ini" file.
and done.
now your original save game has whatever sandbox settings you want.
just change it in the "SandboxSettings.ini" file and save it, then load the game.
