Statistiche:
security pistol sucks balls
can`t repair, can`t craft ammo, damage is slightly better than crossbow and only 8 rounds a mag???? what is the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ point of this thing other than pleasing half life fans with a low poly glock?

ammo you wont need to worry about, since you'll end up with a massive stockpile of 9mm anyway, and its pretty good against some of the harder enemies since you can unload the mag into them really quickly. works well as a throw away weapon if you're trying to clear like the train portal or something.
yep, since the update it can only be upgraded into a glorify flash light. Before you can just recycle and then craft the flash light version again to have it fix. I think they want to push us into trap planting the whole facility.
It's a perfectly good gun, a few shots to the dome takes down just about anything and you don't need biometric armwraps just to equip it. Will probably get the ability to repair guns when the security sector comes out.

unless the guns actually are made out of silly putty or something they should be fixable with just some oil and cloth scraps. I really don`t know what the devs were thinking

atleast the normal flashlight can`t break
Update killed the exploit, so I'm following my word. I'm not using firearms anymore. The durability is so awful that I can hardly get through any kind of sustained combat before the gun breaks down - which is long before I run out of ammo.

Defense analyst is starting to look more and more like the gimp choice.

I really hope this turns out to be the case. I honestly cannot fathom the reasons why we can craft and repair handheld coilguns, but not a simple machine like a Glock.

what is easier to repair: a brick with 33 moving parts or a nuclear reactor inside a zip-gun
Its effective. Fairly accurate compared to most other weapons. Reliable as a real weapon, instead of running like a headless chicken while reloading a single crossbow or junk launcher.
Ammo neutral or -1-2 against its ideal opponent, as long you can hit your shots.

If you could repair it at any time, it'd be absolutely busted. Its too good.

i wouldnt go so far as to say too good, but if the repair was kinda hefty. like security bot cpu (because why the ♥♥♥♥ not) some pipes, oil, and scrap metal. if we wanted something making more sense, then oil, cloth, scrap metal, and plastic (cleaning, lubing, and replacing retaining pins, screws, and guards)
It's a weapon with a magazine available very early (if you can use it). The crafted weapons don't get magazines until the Grinder which is available late in Manufacturing.
yea, i'd hold onto any guns i could find for now until the security update/patch drops i guess. the smg doesnt even have a sfx and it only got 15 round mag capacity lmao. the only decent ones are the revolver and shotgun but again, good luck trying to get much ammo to sustain it because the order bros made sure to throw any spare bullets they have to the antverse before you kill them.

It kind of always was. You get so many opportunities to improve at combat and it's so common an occurrence that it seems stupid to specialize in it over being efficient in regards to it.

As for the rest I'd suggest to calm your tits down. Game just freaking released and in EA at that. I imagine we will be getting adjustments to weapons and other stuff over time.
My assumption is build accuracy, THEN switch to that. On that it comes down to developing a camp that can sustain.
The pistol is fine, the other weapons you drop are straight bad considering everything you need to make them work
I'd find it strange that Scientists are incapable of reverse engineering military weapons.
