Lab Sector Spoilers: Confused by the dark lens anteverse.

tl;dr, confused by the placement or purpose of the dark lens anteverse in what it achieves for the lab sector in regards to progression.

I've finally finished up until the security sector, and enjoyed the route I'd taken, but some of the linearity/routing I found after-the-fact I was confused by and looking to see if anyone has answers.

The way I see it, there's only one route that feels coherent.

- You must open the Cell Block C to get to the 'live fire' zone, wherein you can either build across the chasm, or place concrete walls for cover to get to the side which leads you to the furniture store anteverse.
- Successfully complete the anteverse, and you'll be teleported to an area near the security reset objective where you deactivate the x-ray machine.
- From here, you can reset the security, and safely get to the tarrasque.
- You use the tarrasque ichor to get to another anteverse for the thermite materials.
- You create the thermite and unlock the vault to the security sector.

Alternatively, you can skip the furniture store anteverse by somehow making your way safely to the tarrasque while the sentries are still active (if you're insane).

Now, that's all fine and dandy, but let's say you do all this, and then use thermite to open the laser room and complete the puzzle, unlocking the way to the dark lens anteverse Rise. Upon completion, the exit to the portal takes you to the end-point of where you reactivate the security systems... in short, an alternative route to completing an objective that otherwise seems like everyone would have done already.

But what's the point of it? There doesn't even seem to be an item in Rise of growth or value other than the mysterious egg. I'm all for 'useless' anteverses that don't really progress anything or offer many unique items and furniture, but it sort of felt like the only one, so I was confused by its place. Just want to know if I missed something.
