How do you get clean water back out of a pot?
Either after pouring it in or after purifying it there...how do you extract it? I haven't been able to find any way to move water from pot to bottle.

I think you might only be able to pour pot water into a container, like a water cooler and THEN you can take water out with a bottle etc.

For this you need a water storage. The early game option is water cooler. Equip your pot and approach a water cooler. There will be an option to pour pot contents into water cooler.

Ah, hmm. I gave up on bringing a water cooler home after I broke one on packing, but good to know...

I wonder if I can use a sink for that.

EDIT: Yes, the sink works neatly as a receptacle for the clean water left after purification.

I don't know how you managed that, water coolers don't have a chance to break. Maybe it was to heavy to carry to your base or something. In that case I would recommend roam around with platform cart. You can hoard every cooler you see and there's a lot of them. The water from coolers I collected from office sector easily lasted me until I unlocked water purifier blueprint.

I don't know what to tell you, I tried to pack a cooler and got plastic scrap and no packed water cooler out of it.

I've never had a water cooler break upon packing either. Also, I've never tried to pack up a damaged water cooler either. If you see a green durability bar on one, it it with a hammer to repair it first. It otherwise should be a 100% success rate.

You can break water coolers? I have maxed fabrication, mind, but I still see like a 4% chance to break furniture, while water coolers don't have a chance to break at all for me.

Could be what happened.

I have never seen a hammer and had no information that those were a thing. Or that damage was relevant to packing for that matter.

We have 10 water coolers at our based, all lined up.

We each carry a barrel around, and fill it up with pure water whenever we are exploring, then dump the barrel into the water coolers.

There are 4 of us and we pretty much never run out of clean water.
