in my theory the bell is not the IS-numbers. It is the one that said he was getting trapped in there. All people have radio when moving away from but not him. He even teleport right behind us the moment we reset his chamber security. He fool us by putting a bell there

I think I heard in one of the logs that someone released IS-012 before so I just assume the "Dr. Cahn" is a mimic but evidently not the same type of mimic as the "coworker".

There's an audio log from Dr Manse where he talks about how Dr Cahn has been dead for years but they've found something that talks and acts exactly like him. They think it might be harmless but they aren't sure so they're keeping it contained

I am not that far into the game yet, but I remember that I was told to report to that Dr. after the initial "training", why would they do that then? ...or maybe the security guy is beeing kept out of the loop of such things....hmmm

Just double checked I am indeed misremembering. The audio log doesn't mention anyone by name but does talk about how the creature insists it is a known and former memeber of staff who died some years back
