How Do You Use the Distribution Pad
As the title states I have the distribution pad, powered it, and placed it near my chests. I don't understand how to use it. I tried dropping items on it, and I see blue line and hear a scifi sound, but nothing happens.

Has anybody found a way to use this item?

if you stand on it, it takes stuff from your inventory and puts it into a nearby chest that has the same item.
good for junk items, but it can get annoying if you have copies of your equipment in one of the chests.

Thanks so much for clarifying that. My friends and I thought something along those lines was happening. Have a great day!

I believe it ignores your hotbar items

Its worth mentioning that it seems to ignore lockers. It probably only interacts with player crafted storage.

It definitely works with collected lockers. It doesn't seem to work with the wall mounted ones, though. For tools you could use item stands.

Not filing cabinets, actual lockers. Pool area/second floor security office. It completely ignores those lockers even after I dumped large amounts of loot in them.

If you think that is a bug, send a bug report via that Google Forms.

This forum cycles through threads so fast that I can see this getting missed. They did fix the tool boxes not being picked up by the auto pull Crafting Bench, so I can see them fixing this as well.

I think he's referring to the green lockers that are labeled "file cabinets" and have file cabinet loot. Pretty sure you can pick those up but someone might want to verify or correct me.

Ah yes of course. That makes sense, since you didn't build those. and you can't destroy them. Could work, could be really annoying.
