3rd person possible
If you suffer from motion sickness is there a 3rd person mode to make it more bearable?

Also curious if there are any plans to add optional features to help mitigate motion sickness. Very few games trigger this for me, and even after tinkering with the visual settings, nothing seemed to help. (Only other game in recent memory to cause a similar issue is Sea of Thieves, and prior to that, it was Dead Island.)

Was about to start a discussion topic about this before finding this, but personally I prefer the third-person immersion style more than first. Also, I have some friends I played Valheim with, and they also get motion sickness from first-person. I’d like to play this with them but I don’t think I can until it’s added

No idea if they have plans for it. But you should post that you want it in the suggestions section. Apparently they do read those too.

Gonna bump this too. Have a friend in our group who has motion sickness. Game is really up our alley but have to wait to see if it gets third person or we all can't play together.

Does he get motion sick walking down the street? Just adjust FOV correctly and disable head bob / sway / whatever it's called here. Seems to vary title to title.

Use the third person ladder, of course.

Found someone who doesn't suffer from this problem.

My friend suffers from motion sickness. 3rd-person perspective is a good solution for him.

This has been asked before in other threads, and currently there isn't any good design options to make it work. Typically 3rd person games have a much wider or larger map layout to accommodate for the camera angle.

About the only thing I can offer is to look into disabling certain features, like head bobbing, or to change the Field of View to something more manageable.

I do wish it was ease to just enable a 3rd person feature in a game, but that stuff requires more work than you'd first think. :steamsad:
