How long does solder take to make?

Title. I put a metal scrap and a silver scrap in a pot full of water on a stove and it sounds like it's cooking, but I've been waiting for a long time and it's still not done.

Did I do something wrong? Mousing over the pot says it's "uncooked solder" but it doesn't seem to be cooking, or taking a really long time for it.

I think this might be a bug.
I just picked up the pot, and put it back down on the stove, and it was done instantly, BUT when I placed and harvested the pot, it disappeared.

You might be right. I went on a trip to Flathill and back and the solder is still not done. I tried picking up the pot and putting it back on the stove and it did nothing.

It should barely take 15-30 seconds. Trying packing up your stove and placing it back. The game has updated them recently as they were eating pans and pots. voracious little things.

Or plug it out and in again.
