A Guide to Renewable Basics?
Certain basic, common materials aren't really needed in huge amounts, until they are. I play on a large server sometimes and metal scrap and now that we're progressing later in the game, glass are suddenly running out from our initial stockpile of scrapping in-world objects. You can get a lot from disassembling filing cabinets and barrels around the world, but those run out eventually.
Does anyone have a reliable and more importantly renewable method they use for keeping these in stock?

The portal worlds have renewable resources including furniture I believe. You can try visiting them. Flathill is a good source for office sector supplies.

Portal worlds are fully renewable (furniture included, yes). Every day.

But also you can farm security robots for metal, glass and tech scraps. Figure a way to do that effortlessly and its a shower of those. I'm not going to spoil whichever way you go about that. There's multiple, some more fun or goofy than others.

You should be able to renew every ressources that way.

Thanks, didn't think about the fact that particular place had office furniture and thus lots of scrappable metal.

You can also just wear a radiation suit.

Actually are those renewable? I wonder if there's enough for a large server of like 4+ people. There must be one in a portal world somewhere right?

There's a rad suit in a truck bed just outside the first shortcut back to the start of Flathill, next to the e-mail terminal there.

You could probably farm the rat for a suit, but it drops very rarely

I can't confirm if its a higher/guaranteed chance, but the moment I followed the method for obtaining the Rat pack, butchering the guy also gave me the Rat suit. I got both from the very first attempt. If you don't know how to obtain the Rat pack, find one of the scavengers (Rats), use a net launcher (don't just throw one) and kill him using blunt melee (Do not use elemental blunt melee weapons like the forge hammer). That should drop his backpack. Butcher the body for the suit, but it might be an RNG drop. A Rat likes to spawn next to the tram station in the office plaza.

So technically, you do have an endless supply of radiation suits without getting irradiated.

Ahh, thats why I don't get the pack. I killed so many trying that method, but I used the hammer with extra fire damage. Thanks for the info!
Is there any better raw blunt weapon than the pipe thing at that stage? Cause with that thing I will have to catch and net the rat at least three times I guess...could be annoying
