Better ways to get water?

Water is very intensive to make. Is there a better way than stoves?

When you get to the area after office complex, you can find barrels and a bucket somewhere, pick up the barrel and take it back to your base. Hold the bucket with you whenever you go out and use it on the office water tanks and then you will slowly fill your barrel up

The newest patch fixed the sinks, meaning they should now be full of safe water every few days.

Personally, I just took the lead belly perk. Just being able to drink from fountains, pools, etc. Has been a blessing and leaves the limited clean water for other players and plants.

you can harvest sinks when you explore with a big water container and use it to fill the water fountains you have placed in your base.

Sinks refill naturally over the course of a few days.

I've not seen a single sink refill once in my 25 hours of playing this game.

Well, I've seen a few do. Not all of them, I agree on that. It might be buggued. Maybe the last update will help with that ?

when you progress to the third main area of the game you can unlock a crafting recipe for a water filter. This makes water incredible easy to get as any tainted water you put in the filter instantly gets purified at a 1:1 ratio.

What I do is I set up a boiling station beside tainted water sources like the fountain and the pool then just walk back and forth with pots. There is a clean water fountain in Flat Hill but that's quite a walk.

Yeah, that's because they were bugged. They should be fixed now according to the latest patch notes.

i set up 3 stoves in the small room right next to the pool. whenever i need to wash i run up there, wash and empty the pots into one of my empty water dispensers. then i refill them, set them on the stove to run and go on my merry way. i get more clean water that way then trying to scavenge it from sinks etc

Same here. Except I place all Water coolers and a couple barrels next to it too.

Scoop water, Boil it, soon as its down deposit in storage, scoop water boil, repeat. Slap my plants next to it too so I can take a second to throw water on em whenever.

Get to 5th level of strength asap and you can get food or water whenever you need one. I personaly used stoves and sometimes filled bottle with water from tanks when I go out. Also you can collect tanks on your way back to base tho.

Someone suggested taking a trolley, filling it with water dispensers/barrels, going to the fountain, laying down the dispensers, filling them with tainted water and then hauling them back to base to purify them using 1 or more stoves. I've been doing that so far but I probably overdid it as I wasnt sure if there would be a waster purifier schematic later on.

not a big fan of he fountain because that damn robot patrols the area and later on one of the scanner enemies wanders around there. I occasionally see mobs by the pool but its pretty damn rare and at worst takes a second or two to kill.

Had my base in the locker room next to the pool and the only time an enemy appeared in the pool room was the robot during portal storm.

Have yet to see any enemy in there since I moved (but still have to deal with a new portal storm just after I moved to my new base location).
