Warmer on Workbench is constantly working?
How do I turn it off? It causes my char to overheat

There's a very real likelihood you are wearing something in addition that is causing you to heat up more than normal such as the hazmat suit. Generally, overheating really only applies a malus if you are into the orange or red zone (as shown by the moodles).

The temperature system is due an overhaul on the roadmap at some point, so may be more impactful once we get insulation stats on our armour.

Yeah, I haven't seen much happen with the Temperature system yet, so the worst you seem to get is annoying dialog from your character.

At the highest rate of temperature, your character periodically throws up. However, only one location so far has high enough temperature for this to happen.

I am wearing it yes, but it doesn't cause me to overheat anywhere but near the heater during daytime

In case you didn't notice, your character's bodytemp will be high enough to say he's warm with the hazmat suit OUTSIDE heater's range, so if you wearing a hazmat suit inside the heater's range, it go beyond that and your character start overheating
The heater shield have similar effect
