Replacement Parts quest.

So uh how do I actually turn this quest in and get the parts? It says trade and give em to the blacksmith but no option exists. I have all 3 listed in the journal but nothing seems to happen. Dont seem to have a recipie with the 3 of them either.

Just drop the stuff into the loot chute next to him. After that the chest next to the chute should have the stuff you need

Nope. Already tried and doesnt work. Maybe I didnt explain it properly.

I have the Fiber-Optic Cables, Optic Lens, and Diode. I traded for the items I needed and have them.

Unless the game is bugged and more options are supposed to appear. In which there is none.

Edit: Found the dilemma. The repair spots are called "Flow Control Valve" or something simlar. Such an item does not exist. You slot the items in that you traded into those spots. 1 Diode, 1 Optic Lens, 1 Fiber Cable. Only the Fiber cable is labeled correctly.

3 Pipes to progress. Each Pipe has a sorta big electrical box that needs to be repaired.

1 is right next to the giant excavator. I believe it needs the Diode.

2nd is not to far off in the mining area with all the translucent aliens that are semi invisable. Right smack dap in the middle theres an area you can go across the room from one side to another and a box smack dab in the middle of it. I believe that one requires the Optic Lens.

3rd is right off the wide driveable forklift road through the middle of the Manufacturing Sector. The exact location is somewhat hard to describe but you can physically see the spot that needs to be repaired from the road and through a window. Its right next to some military men.

It's talking about the Electron Pumps to power the Synchotron.

The Blacksmith supplies the parts necessary to fix the pumps, he doesn't actually go out and fix them himself.

Follow the big Red/Yellow/Green Pipes suspended from the ceiling to find the Pumps.

Giant Excavator. Where you spoke to the girl in charge. Look at the walls for the where the pipes lead and simply follow them.

I think the quest is bugged. after getting the correct materials, I dropped them in the chute but I done it to quick. it only gave me 2 out of the 3 items. after making the Solder again to see if it would give me the item for the quest. the solder just appears at the bottom of the chute. the game has recognised I've turned it in but it wont let me get the final item (fibre cable)

alright everyone, since everyone is confused let me give you guys a brief walkthrough.

there are three items you need to prepare, and then trade it with the blacksmith to get the items needed for the repair. the items are:

1. reinforced hose -> optic lens. acquired from crafting
2. solder -> fiber-optic cable. acquired from boiling scrap metal and silver scrap (found on the train portal) in a pot to get solder
3. axle grease -> diode. acquired from the train portal

the locations of the three pumps:

1. optic lens -> in the middle of the digsite, where you will find invisible enemies. the pump is near a steel bridge.
2. diode -> near the giant excavator inside the digsite. basically near the place you talked to frakel or whoever that woman is that told you to overload the synchrotron
3. fiber optic cable -> in one of the higher floor of a building in the container lots (the place with radioactive liquid flooding the bottom). a bit hard to describe where it is, but you definitely going to stumble upon it when you are trying to open more gates and doors in that area

tip: to save you the headache of finding the pumps, just go the synchrotron and then see the 3 colour-coded pipes that extends from it, each of the pipes will guide you into the pumps. whenever you activated a pump, the connected pipe will emit a blue electric light.
