How much health do the robots have?
Used 41 arrows on it and wacked it about 8 times and it didn't die. It ended up killing me when i ran out of arrows and I had to melee. These things are tanky af.

A ton. I use the wire trip mine. Three hits from that will leave the bot at almost no HP and a few small hits will take it down.

Damn, I will def be using traps next time. Idk why I didn't think of that. I counted my arrows on my second try and I think it took 50 arrows to take it down. I might have miscounted a few give or take.

Oh nice, do you just set them up right in front of the spawner and then wait for night time?

i use the blade trap, power it up next to outlet, lure the bot and it gets stunned in it till it dies, just need a hammer to repair it after since the blade is left with 30% hp it can last forever that way

You can punch their spawner during daytime and it'll activate them

Security bots are tough for starter weapons. Using traps is highly recommended at this stage and it teaches players the effectiveness of traps. In some cases you can use the environment to your advantage. Lead the robots to environmental hazards for an easy kill or to other enemies.

Are they worth destroying? Right now I have at best the crossbow, shock trap and 9mm ammo (no gun)
I've only Just gotten level 3 opened up and no clue where to go next esp after fleeing from a pack of dogs

They are essential to progressing through the story. After that though it's up to you if you want to collect soda

I'm currently based at the lvl 2 security room, every night the one beside the forklift walks up to the sealed shutters and stands there. It refuses to leave come morning effectively blocking the door.

Anyone got any tips on preventing it?

Try destroy it? You can use the zipline locate in your balcony to get out from there, the orange door near the forklift can lead you back to your base( remember to unlock the door near the bathroom from inside first!)

Took about 50 arrows for me.

Use the spinny blade trap and a charged portable battery (or find a plug i guess).

Spent 2 spear can destroy 1 of those. You have to destroy like 5 of them. They also drop a lot of soda and scraps. You will get better weapon for such task later on

I meant as a way to stop it reaching that spot.

I tried a shock trap, it ignored it entirely.

I was hoping not to have to go with the chopper but seems like the best choice.
