You could do a boring grind and walk around in your base holding heavy stuff, or just through normal game play carry a lot back to base. Just make sure your path is clear when heading back or can drop stuff fast if attacked.
Note: Using the platform cart will not count as walking, since it is treated as a vehicle, for better or worse. Better in terms of movement, worse in terms of Leg Day.
Getting the firesale buff means there's no point where your inventory is too overloaded to get exp, so that's a good one to have to ensure you get strength exp even when looting tons of things.
So if you raise your agility to be very fast and start strength training, you can gain more from the high speed.
