Has anyone figured out cooking recipe for solder?

If you got to the step where you need it, it will tell you the recipe for it in the notes tab, but to make it easier it's In a cooking pot with water, toss silver and metal scraps into it

I think I encounter it at the blacksmith locaiton in the west manufature zone. It is the hot pot right next to this window

Thank you! and I saw the pot and went to inspect it but no recipe was added to my journal. Thought it might of been a glitch!

Have you checked Train log entry? The recipe for solder is mentioned there, along with other stuff you need to trade in for quest.

Where do you get the silver? I have silver chains but if I use those it doesn't work. Can't break them down either.

Look around on the tables and counters, there's silverware all over the place in the later train cars.
