Power plug
Does the Plug strip that lets one power outlet turn into 3 share power equally? Does plugging a strip into another strip give you 3 more outlets?

Assuming it's the same as it was in the demo, yes. Three strips plugged into a strip give nine outlets, because power is either present or it's not. There's a couple caveats: First is that cords have aggressively limited range, so there's limits to how useful multiple strips actually are. Second is that the more power you have on a battery when the lights go out, the faster it drains. Even very large banks of batteries will drain extremely rapidly if they're feeding a couple strips worth of machines.

Ah yes that makes sense, so during the day its limitless per say, and then at night, it depends on batteries.
So at the moment I have Outlet - Battery - Power strip - battery on the 2 plugs on the strip - into the repair and crafting bench. So to make the initial strip go into 2 more plugs, which have their own batteries, would just super drain the initial battery?

For the limited range, you can extend the range via clicking on a surface (any surface) and having Tech Scrap on hand.

As for the batteries, my old research on batteries seems to be out of date. One battery can now easily power one device throughout the night (THANKS DEVS! :steamhappy:), but I'm not sure if the battery draining mechanics still works the same way. (I bet it does though)

Until I get access to bigger batteries than Small, it might just be easier and safer to use one Small Battery for each device, like a kind of UPS (uninterruptible power supply). My old method of having one Small Battery at the base, and one at each device to help it barely last throughout the night seems kind of moot now, and just as well! It felt overly complicated for the need.

You can daisy-chain batteries together as well; plug a battery into another battery and so on, with the starting battery plugged into the wall and the end battery plugged into whatever. There does seem to be diminishing returns, as each subsequent battery will make the preceding battery drain faster than if it was just by itself, but it'll only drain one battery at a time.

Oh no no no, don't do that. (maybe?)

I have to verify things in this version, but the 'research paper' I did during the demo showed that after having more than 2 batteries in series absolutely killed your runtime capacity, since it treated batteries as a full on devices, regardless of charge.

With battery charges seeming to last double than what it used to be, there should be no need to daisy-chain batteries together to make things last the night.
Crap! Battery charge for the past few in-game days have reverted back to what they were in the demo. So all the posts where I said the Small Battery charge was doubled is basically wrong. I guess there is a grace period early on to make them last longer, but it looks like chaining a couple is the best way to do things.

And on top of that, my 'research paper' post is not visible. Maybe I can find it and repost it, but likely I'll have to double check the mechanics.
