Does Fridge Slow Food Decay?
Did anyone test this out yet, if placing a storage in the fridge, and store food in there. Will the Food decay slower or not at all?

Fridge does slow food decay. Containers have little "buff" icons on the top left of their inventory that shows what they do. Radiation shielding, cooling, etc.

We need some clarification. Are you talking about the item you construct or the freezer that has a broken door? I've wondered about this question since playing the demo, it doesn't seem like the freezer does anything to items dropped there. Whereas the fridge you build does slow the decay of food items.

Hopefully the updated Temperature System will allow for items stored in cold places to actually be refrigerated.

I remember making a chest in that walk in freezer during the playteset, hoping it would keep stuff fresh, and it didn't.:steamsad:

But the actual refrigerator appliance works. There is also a server setting that adjusts how good or bad it is. Default is pretty good, but not perfect.

Also, beware of making a Nuclear Frig!

Fridge slows down degradation. Just make sure it's plugged in.

Just be aware that adding meat to a stack in the fridge lowers its "freshness" to that of the oldest meat.

When the bar empties you lose the entire stack.

It works.
Slow down degradation by 25% in normal server settings.

Doesn't work at night of course, unless you have a way to power it up.

Has anyone noticed that even with plugging in the fridge, i still get the yellow "plug" icon showing that the fridge is not plugged in?

Nope... now you are going to make me double check that I haven't been over looking something.

Id guess you have clicked rather than pressing "e" and accidentally placed a cord extender.

Totally not speaking from experience here.
