[FULL GAME TALK] Ray Traced Lighting?
So the embargo to talk about the game has lifted so fair warning, this concerns the FULL RELEASE.

I've noticed throughout both the Beta and the Full Game that the lighting especially from the flashlights appears to be Ray Tracing! The Light Fades realistically once it is turned on and off and I'm beginning to suspect some subtle ray tracing is being used, I don't know if I'm right though.

I'm curious to hear if it is RT because if so, it looks sick.

The game is built in Unreal Engine 5 and uses Lumen, which is indeed ray-traced lighting. Glad you're liking the look!

(While ugly, this can also be disabled by turning down Global Illumination - but we don't recommend it, artistically speaking.)

I KNEW IT! It honestly looks REALLY nice and I love the mix of the Modern Lighting Engine with the 90s Artstyle, it honestly works really well and reminds me of projects like HL RT.

100% would be useful in the future if we could get some DLSS support as it can be a little laggy but I'm still getting 60FPS on High on my 3060. Congrats on the Launch!
