About getting into containment block
Am I the only one who had a really hard time figuring out getting into containment block and getting the portal too mushroom world upon?

When I first got to that whole area the first thing I did was explore around the whole elevator, of course I found the yellow room and went in and explored the area below with the level 3 lock to get into containment block.

The issue is, after I spent several hours exploring that area THEN I got into animal pens more or less after running around everywhere. I got the level 3 hacking but by then I'd forgotten where the hell I needed to go so I explored more and ended up playing around in all of Labs and such. And that took a few more hours.

(I'd also like to point out I did not unlock the thermal bomb, I opened the PC but did not click on the file, so I had to look that up later. IDK the fact what you need to progress is on 1 random ass PC in animal pens on a single png seems a bit goofy, should be easier to get)

So I'd crafted the level 3 hacking but errrrr had no idea where to use it. After a bit more Re-exploring around I found the antiverse ll portal room but I see it needs an "flow control module" Thinking I was smart and this was just like the last things I go to the Forge to talk to...Forge and try to buy it off him but...nothing.

I'd hit a road block, zero damn idea here to go, I ran around labs 4 times, animal pens 4 times, back to Maps 4 times.

Never know when you need to click on 1 random png on a random PC in a hallway am I right?

SO after like 6? 7? hours I googled it, found out I had to go to the hallway under yellow room and hack the pad. That all just felt, bad, I can understand it was my fault for forgetting but at this point it'd been like 8 to 10 hours since I'd seen that damn keypad there was no way in hell I was remembering that was pad to there unlock.

But whatever, I'm stupid, so I go though all that, get a shotgun, fight zombies, turn the guns on the soldiers.

And now, I see a big monster and get told the blood conducts electricity.

That's neat, sadly I need a "flow control module" Not a big monster. SO once again I just run around like an idiot trying to find this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ flow control module before I get board and fight this stupid monster before killing it and getting some blood.

So I get this blood annnnnd!....No Flow control module crafting recipe.
Look man you can figure what happened next but it sucked.

I get that I'm a bit stupid but this whole area just felt like you were meant to get lucky and just magically know how to do it and it just felt horrible and wasted a lot of my time.

I'd personally say make the yellow room show up after you get the hacker or some type of hint to go back there to what more or less was just a closet, and maybe when you meet the one doctor she tells you they where making powerful electrical things out of its blood, then when you get the blood it tells you to make a flow control module.

I loved the game all the way too that part, it just killed it for me compleatly.

Yeah the whole Labs section feels pretty unfinished. Lots of running up and down empty corridors doing what amounts to fetch quests. Needs to be tightened up to give the same experience as Offices which flowed much better.
use the tarasque icor at the top floor to activate the portal to the mushroom world.
the thermite crafting recipe is in a terminal near the tram stop. There should be stairs to the right where you can go up and find a room full of electro pests. It`s there.

For now maybe a guide from the devs would be nice.

Imagine a game not playing itself for you in 2024. Shame on these devs for making a game where you're only slightly railroaded from event to event.

The place is a bit of a maze. Doesn't help that there is no map for that part of the area either. Even though the in-game maps aren't all that great, nor would a single top view map even help with that multi floor area.

It even gave me a bit of a curve and it took a bit of bumping around to get back to the tarasque after leaving it the first time to get prepared before triggering it.

I wouldn't have phrased it like this, but... yeah, this is kinda the same sentiment I'm feeling here. The only time I ever got confused in labs was getting leyak essence and anteverse gel mixed up involving the x-ray door, so I got sidetracked trying to figure out how to get anteverse gel in the first place.

Yes, this is a common occurrence. One of the last patches made the hints a bit better, but imo the different steps are either detached too much in space or time to make the connection.

What would help in my opinion is if the entrance to containment would be a big entrance instead of just one of many doors on one of many floors.

it would be nice if floors 4 and 5 actually had anything on them

For me it was the fact I was getting information out of order, so by the time it had become relivent it had been like 8 hours since I'd last seen it

I actually wanna blame button placement, too. I got super stuck in Containment Block and had to watch someone's playthrough to see I needed to push a very missable button. The button is placed on the jpeg control panels that are normally not interactable, but do not stick out enough for you to notice unless you were specifically looking for a button.
