OMDU is definitely the best OMD game out there, I tried the new one, but it lacks the magic and fun OMDU had imo. I'm wondering if the brought the game back, will there be enough players to keep it running? heck I'm even willing to subscribe to it monthly to keep the servers up xD

It's funny, because this game even though was shut down years ago still lives on in everyone's minds. It keeps getting brought up in the OMD3 discussion forums - all those in there who never got to play it are very bitter and jealous try their hardest to shut down the OMDU conversation. OMDU will be remembered for longer and more fondly than OMD3.

Yeah, it's sad they shut it down. This game was not less than PERFECT. It's funny cuz I sent them message once that they need to bring it back! xD they pretty much said that it'll never come back since they closed the servers, it's a shame really... I didn't like OMD3 as much, played it once and never touched it after, that says a lot... and that comes from a HUGE OMDU fan. Oh well :\

I’d give just about anything to be able to play Unchained in complete form offline. I miss it so much. Playing 3 and all I can think about is I’d rather be playing Unchained 😭

Ugh same man same >< I don't find 3 even nearly as fun as Unchained. Wish they brought it back. If they only knew how much people actually loved the game.

I installed the offline mod and nearly cried booting up the game and being able to play it.

Even if it's not the same it's still better than nothing at all. I really dislike service games. Took me years to even try 3 because they burned me so hard on Unchained and I was so bitter about it.

Yeah man I understand completely, I'll check out the offline mode as well, I just miss this game so much <3 I wish it was online tho :|

I wish OMDU gets revived too.. I found it to be the most rich experience in the series.
I have so many friends I want to recommend it to and play together. OMD3 was dialled down quite a lot in content and difficulty, and even though I still replay it I just miss the OMDU hero roster and maps. Even just the overall theme and lore behind it felt a lot more expansive and involved.

Please bring back OMDU ♪

What if it came back in form of singleplayer/peer to peer coop? Plus it was paid game? Maybe they simply don't want to rent servers.
