This is why there are people who would write off a game if it was released on GFWL or had Denuvo or even worse starforce. If you dont know what those are or how they damage pc's simply by being attached to a game for "anti-piracy" then you dont need to be leaving comments in this thread.
There are numerous examples lately of how these third party applications developers force you to install with their games do more harm than good. Bayonetta and Rime are two games that were broken for people on newer hardware because of the drm running in the background (steam's api and denuvo) and after removing the protection the games work fine now, this is especially true for Rime.
I'm glad somebody mentioned this. Lots of noobs in here talking like they know which way is up.
The sad fact is: some people are just crap, and we can't have afford to have nice things becasue there's always going to be somebody who wants to ♥♥♥♥ all over it. Most of us appear to go from cradle to grave operating entirely on impulse and self-gratifaction.
I would love a world where people read TOS agreements, and actually cared what they were installing, but they don't. They're raised not to entertain questions above their station, and the culture ridicules people by lack of its own misunderstandings for attempting. And so everyone else who does care and takes responsibility for their actions is forced to make compromises thanks to the hordes of uninformed loudmouths pushing their idiot majority consensus where it doesn't belong. It's maddening to watch people ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ themselves with things they don't understand while they insist: "But that's what it's for".
