I just played with the single player launcher and I'm happy to report it still works nicely. Without the grinding and loot boxing and leveling up, its core is a really fun OMD game that is enhanced by the tweaks of the launcher. The multiple characters each do something different and perfect, most of them are playable now. MOBA-hungry devs really screwed up what could have been a long lasting contender in the OMD franchise and I'm happy the fans resurrected the core game.

Let's be fair. Unchained was nowhere near the grind of OMD2. In Unchained you could play any way you wanted and earn skulls. In OMD2 you end up repeating the same level the same way over and over to try to get skulls asap. Then you get to do it all over again with the second hero. Now that's some serious grind.

Official servers are gone. Check the single player launcher topic, but keep in mind it's a work in progress. Full functionality may never be possible.
