the late game remains bad and a lot of the playerbase has quit putting the game in a somewhat dead state.
If you are just looking to have some fun w/ a hero/tower defense its worth playing, but if you are trying to find a long term game this ones not looking too bright.
Well I understand that and I know the game has always been PvE but I still think they shouldn't have just dropped PvP they could have kept it in but just stop updating it.

If you like action tower defence it is great game and worth it. It is true f2p with no ingame mechanics that push you into paying.
PvP was removed but it was only for good. Game has more players since (that what I heard).
Now we have Sabotage mode, when two teams compete on PvE, where you can be mean to 2nd team and drop on them extra orcs, bosses, debuffs to help them loose their game.
And before anyone even attempts it, don't bother arguing otherwise because I will not believe that this game a sizable player base outside of Steam.
It occurs to me that those values themselves might not be realistic, because technically, I "play" everyday, but what i'm actually doing is login in and closing the game.
So of those few people, how many just logged in for the bonus?
Also there was a large variety of maps with difficult to understand pathing, with no real prep time to figure it all out before starting. It seems they designed the game to always have one unattended path, paired with weak traps and a confused early game population meant a majority of matches failed...it also took a long time just to find a match.
I trailed off playing just as i got to mid game, players were better and matches wouldnt fail as much but also it was very difficult to find a game..
The other game out there like this i feel is too trap heavy meaning i can do nothing and do fine as long as the traps are well placed and good. This game seems to have really weak traps and by design more paths than a full match can defend...
Oh and if you go solo its nearly impossible.
Hope they fixed some of these issues. Its enjoyable, especially that first map that you can solo easy...
