Way to play game offline after servers shut down

I don't really like multiplayer/lootbox mumbo jumbo and since I'm reading here on forums that game servers are going to close soon it would be nice to be able to play it afterwards in some sort of offline mode. I'm currently mostly playing orcs must die 2, didn't know this game existed (lived under rock) up until recently... seems like lot of ppl are disappointed by this release (quite mixed score) but still I'd perhaps like to pay for some sort of offline single player optimized version of this game. I think that since we are on steam, even some multiplayer functions could be preserved.

We don't know per say if it's closing soon (tencent is their own branch for chinese client), it's "only" the surrounding feeling due to massive layoffs and complete silence in the most unprofessional ways imaginable - that makes us think so.

But no, to answer the question, you won't be able to play at all, unless they do a patch that allows local play and data to be stored on your computer rather than handling everything through their servers, which, to be frank, is quite unlikely to happen.

I doubt this is coming. VVould take to much efforts for the dev.s - and apparently they moved on. But I still don't get hovv everyone seems to be buying into these server shutdovvn rumours. It is nothing but that - rumours. Ever since the inception of the game there have been these toxic comments out to ruin the game. Never took them seriously. Trolls've been doing it since at least 2016, so...

~I too went back to OMD2 and started w/ Gabrielle this time from scratch and having a blast..
Stricly solo so far and I still can't beat the final story mission(TwistedHalls).
~So i wen't and grinded all kinds of stuff and bout ready to take it down!!!

((FYI,PS4 has OrcsMustDie Unchained and it's still kinda new= that means no wait time for matchmaking,,i posted this in a thread about MP being dead as an alternative & not to advertise for console blahblah...Identical experience if you can't get used to controller..
I was able to as i sometimes use controller for OMD2.
Send Invite if you do go PS4,,,Same usename as STeam.....

No offline mode, otherwise everything gets hacked to ♥♥♥♥. Just like the OMD2 high score list. The reason I stopped playing OMD2 is bc of the cheaters with 9999999999999999 scores on the first map.
