Also don't underestimate Max. His cheaper traps and overall decent kit is a good starting hero.
But Oziel is good, He uses his HP to turn it into MANA and his basic attacks give him HP per hit. That along with Jar of Souls skill he can mess them mobs up! He also has a massivly long rang for his basic attack.
Max is also fun, and Free.... But he is really good... Hes a good ranged hero and does Lightning Damage. Its really nice.
If you are in a team with no CC, Hogarth is nice, but a lot of peole dont like him.
If you want physical I'd say go Temper, He has Bull Rush which is very handy and also the ability to set off floor traps, so with a trap setup based around floor traps he can do massive damage.
If you want more Glass cannon I"d either Cygnsys. But he also has skills that can allow traps to trigger when casing them. And if its on a level where he can see mobs from the rift he is OP, Like the Jail Level.
He is a good character, Has a lot of servivability and hits pretty hard.
and using the corresponding traps to the characters makes them all even better, like using arcane traps with oziel and using fire traps with smolder,
the heroes only really make 25% of the match,
and then 25% being how the traps correspond to the hero abalities
and 50% being the trap levels and parts
heroes only really start to matter in endless Rift lord and high level sabo
