Game wont start

When ever I try starting the game up the game tries loading but then it flash a black screen and my desktop and then it wont let me in the game or let me close out of it is there a was to fix this? I've tried running the game and steam as administration but still doesn't work is there any other way to fix this

Yes I have, and this game looks sick so I really want to try a way to get it running is there anything else I can do?

Well first what are your machine specs:


1) OP. System
2) Processor
3) Memory
4) Graphics Card

The other thing I can think of based on your description, seems that some people that run 64 bit windows 10 (several of which have been German, I think) run into issues with 64 bit dlls being in the 32 bit section.

So your spec info should help me confirm and then we can try that solution...

i do run a 64 bit window 10 your exactly right
1) 64-bit operating system
2) intel core i3
3)4.00 GB
4) idk graphics card

I dont know if its the same issue but i start up 8 bit army and the loading image of 8bit army shows up then black screen then desktop with loading image still there then after 2 or 4 seconds a error saying "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" I dont run steam on Compatibility mode and i run it as admin.

1) 64-bit operating system with windows 7
2) pentium(r) dual-core cpu E5800 @ 3.20GHz
3) 4.00 GB
4) Intel GMA x4500 i think.

Hi guys! If the game is still not running for you, go ahead and run DxDiag.exe and generate a system report. Then, e-mail that to [e-mail]. There may be some additional information that could help track down issues.

I had the same problem on my laptop which has Intel HD Graphics and a dedicated nVidia 310M.

This is how I solved it:

- Open NVIDIA Control Panel
- Go to "Manage 3D Settings"
- In the "Program Settings" tab, add "8Bit Armies" in "Select a program to customize:" and choose "High-performance NVIDIA processor" in "Select the preferred graphics processor for this program:"
- Click 'Apply'

lol its all cool i just got a differnt computer anyways so that fixed the problem
