For the next 6 years no dead rising 5, no other dead rising games until... DRDR and here we are, 4,979 peak, it's not promising for the future of DR franchise at all.

1k concurrent in the middle of the night for most of the developed world. It had a hundred thousand sales or more already on steam alone, and it's also on Xbox and Playstation which is where most people will play it. Pretty good for a remaster of a 20 year old game in a franchise that died years ago.

Capcom made a profit and introduced a great game to potentially hundreds of thousands of new fans which might even be enough to reboot the franchise. Nobody cares that you can't upskirt Jessie anymore. I feel bad for all the turbovirgins outing themselves because they can't take erotic pictures of zombies anymore.

Nobody actually cares about concurrent players. Dead Rising 2 peaked at 2,800 and was the most successful game in the franchise. This has close to 100K sales just on steam, and most people will play it on console anyway. It didn't cost more than a few million to make. Over 80% of reviews are positive so obviously nobody actually cares that zombies aren't in panties anymore.
