How long is the game?
How long will the game be if you do main story only and how long for main+side missions?

Pretty sure the main story is 3 in-game days + an extra day for the real ending. 1 day = 2 hours, so 8 hours? But it's completely built around replaying as you carry over all your crap when you die/win. And if you go for all of the hassle achievements it will take a long time because they are things like "eat every kind of food" or "take a picture of every pp sticker."

you won't be able to do all the side quest on your first try, maybe even not the maine one, you'll need at least three run to experience the majority of thing the game offer to you, so 6 hours x 3 = 18 , the game is really hardwhen you beging because of the low level of the character and the boss that are really hard to beat when you don't know how to deal with them

you'll play even more by just roaming around, and if you want all the ending and the achievement you'll need hundred of hours, there is also an extra day for the real ending like BRB said, but it don't really have some real repleyability in my opinion but it will last for a good two hours even mre.

you can easly play for 40 hours withou caring for achievement, in my case I played the 360 version for hundred and hundred of hours
Well about 6 houers to get the first time around, BUT you will miss A LOT of side quests, maybe even optional boss fights, since the time limit is there and lots of side scoops will be lost. Sure most of side mission are escorting a dumb AI to the safehouse, but some of them hide a really nice boss fights, plus cool conversation. Basicily the game is ment to be replayed many times, until you reach level 50, where you're unstopable.
Even then you can reset your character levels and start from scratch ofc...
And the achivments hunting is really cool here as well if you into that. Overall I think it is well worth 20 USD. This game is a classic.

There are multiple game modes so if you wanted to do everything in the game you are probably talking 40+ hours.

Pretty hard to say actually, it really depends of you. During the main game, you're locked in the mall for 3 days (1 day = +/- 2 hours in real time). No matter what you do, times goes by (even if you don't play through the story).
If you play normally through the story, you unlock a new game mode which completes the main story and adds +/- 1 to 2 hours.

There are 6 different endings, an infinite mode you might wanna try out, and a lot of content (boss or people to save) which is completely optional (and hard to get on a first playthrough cause the main story won't wait for you... miss one event and the story's over)... but again, it all depends of you and how many times you are willing to re-complete the game. In all cases, ALL your playthroughs will last 6 hours, even if you spend them in a closet. Some people will try to beat the game many times to get all the optionnal stuff and can eaisly spend 40 hours or more on this game, while others will just play once through the story ^^

Of course, this also depends on how many times you die and have to restart... as if you've never played any game n the Dead Rising series, you'll probably die a lot in your first attempts ^^

Simple answer with no spoiler :
If you play normally through the whole story, you end up unlocking the extra day mode. Finish it, and you got the cannon ending ^^

If you wan't to get the 7 day survivor achievement and/or Arthur's boxers clothing unlock thats 14 hours right there, non stop.I have no idea why but I am really looking forward to doing that again.

Yep, 14 hrs. sounds right if you add the post game bonus content... Is a big surpirse for the additional mod to be included, but it is really nice.
