As well, there is no way for multiplayer to work in the story, and having multiple Franks running around would be completely retarded.
Capcom abandoned Dead Rising as soon as it was released in 2006 because they did not think it would be a big seller. They admitted this when they announced Dead Rising 2 was being planned.
Dead Rising never had multiplayer, only 2, 3, and 4. It had PP and Survival Ranking leaderboards, that's it. I think you have this confused with Left 4 Dead, which came out later mostly in response to all the people who wished Dead Rising did have multiplayer.
