Getting survivor to security room

How do I get a survivor to the security room? I got George but he wouldn't climb up the shelves, only the tallest box. I thought that area to the rooftop was the only way to the security room. Am I missing something?

Fastest way would be to make sure that the survivors are near to you when you open the elevator doors and press the 'examine' button inside the elevator as fast as possible, this way you do not have to clear out the zombies.

Go into the warehouse in Paradise Plaza. Stay on the ground and go through the tight space where you can see a metal shelf and paint cans at the end. Keep following that path and you will see the elevators at the end. Zombies will always spawn in the Warehouse and the elevators, so just kill them. The survivor AI is abysmal anyway, you have to act as their bodyguard.

This route is how you will get back to the security room.

Yep and have one on hand for day 2 when the twins Heather and Pamela are randomly encountered near the toy store across from the warehouse entrance. Throw a queen near Pamela because she has zombies swarming her.
