How to change language to English?

Hey guys,

I did a huge mistake, I bought the game on the german amazon page and the game is fully in German... do you know how I can change the language to English? I haven't seen anything in the options an under my documents I do not even find a CoD BO1 Ini/config file?

And how did you accidentally buy the German version off the German site off Amazon? You would have had to go through all the payment and such IN GERMAN.

Honestly the fact that people lie is pathetic on here. Just admit you bought a German key so you could get it cheaper compared to everyone else.

There is no way to change language. Valve caught onto people ripping them off getting the game cheaper by buying German / Russian keys and simply stopped people being able to change the language.

Contact support and ask them to remove it. Next time buy a game in your language...

Sorry, I don't understand your concerns. I speak German, that's not the problem. But I want to play the game in English like all the other Call of Duties in my library. It is not that I accidentially bought the game on a German page. And it is not that the game is less more expensive in Germany than for example on amazon.co.uk, camparing to russian keys that were falling of the truck is rediculous. Normally I buy my games on the UK site where PC retail games are actually much cheaper... Furthermore I bought a retail version and not just a key. So all your accuses are not comprehensible for me. It is just that I want to change the language in the game to English, as I do this normally in all my other games... calling my a liar is pathetic btw - had a bad day? Hope someone else, more polite and friendly, would have an idea.

Das mit den russischen Keys stimmt nicht, das liegt daran, das Black Ops in Deutschland stark geschnitten ist und die russische uncut sein dürfte, es wurde deswegen so gemacht, dass man ausländische BO-Keys nicht in DE aktivieren kann (evtl. mit Proxy).
Und offensichtlich hat man sich auch die englische Sprache beim DE-Cut gespart...

Danke marcepape. Dann hätte ich mir doch gleich die uk Version holen sollen, was ich normalerweise auch immer versuche. Hier hab ich wohl nicht richtig aufgepasst. Egal... die Sprachausgabe im SP ist ok, aber im MP nervt sie etwas. :D

Why are you grave digging? Also, torrenting language files to make the game work on Russian or whatever versions isn't allowed.

You can change the language from German to "English" as well as English to "german" if having the "right files". There are files existing on the internet, looking for them by using Google, you can use to change the language, IT IS POSSBILE, so try it !. It gotta work fine.

I know this thread is old as hell, but never seen such a stupid comment as Laptop65's.
Germany is one of the countries with the most expensive games in the world, only followed by countries like Australia and maybe Brazil or something. It's definitly the most expensive in europe.
