Server not available?

Game keeps telling me that it couldn't connect, yet I check the website and we're at DefCon 5.

What's the deal?

I have the same problem. I click multiplayer and it says connecting then it says the servers are unavibale right now. Same with zombies. I completaly uninstalled and deleted all my black ops stuff in steam apps - common & it still says error. I also, shut down my laptop and unpluged my ethernet cable. Nothing works. I also, verifed chache.

How did you get it to work? Also, what area in the world do you live in. Maybe where you live effects this problem.

Won't connect for me either and I checked website, it's defcon 5 too.

I figured out how to fix it. Open up Single player/campaign. Then click multiplayer on the main page. Somehow that refreshes the connection and makes it work.

Didn't work for me. I live in the UAE. Could that be the reson? This happened today. I was going to finish recording my last cinamatic for my edit but this error stuff happened. I have no idea how to fix this because I completaly edeleted and uninstalled everything to do with Black Ops then reinstalled Black Ops but I still get this problem. I don't know where to look for a solution to this.

I think he is talking about "verifying your game cache". In your games library, right click on Black Ops Multiplayer. At the bottom, you should see "properties". Click on it. It will then show 5 tabs. Click on "Local Files". Here you will find "Verify integrity of game cache"; click it.

I live in Germany. Now it doesn´t work for me too. Before 3 hours it worked tho.

Ive tryed this already but no fix. This problem has been going on for less than 24 hours so maybe I should give it some time to fix itself. lol, I dought it.

I live in Dubai and it dowsnt work. Perhasp this problem is happening for pople out of the US. I should of never moved out of the US. -_-
