Game Won't Start
When I try to start the game, it gets stuck on "updating executable" before stopping

Use the explorer or explore archives installed and run the executable file of either SP or MP. Worked for me.

Same problem for me. MP.exe doesn't work.

same here happened after i uninstalled and reinstalled SMH fix this ♥♥♥♥ activision!!

It did the same for me, but I had to keep doing it until it asked me if it could do changes to my pc.

this worked for me :

Completely close steam (Exit or via Task Manager), Open the game folder (steamapps/common/CoD/) and simply launch CoD.exe. Then wait about 1 min and steam will be opened and the game will launch.
Hope this helps someone.
