Did the theater shut down?

I wanna record a theater clip as gameplay for a video and get one of the achievements, but it says the file was deleted..

Yes, theater mode was shut down a year ago because of an exploit, that they didn't want to fix.

yeah, I've just tried again and still couldn't watch my video for a match, which was actually played & saved in 2014. for some reason, it's still possible to access certain videos, but don't really know what's the deal for them. if you want to access it just for the achievement named "Date Night", then you can also earn it by watching anyone else's video. just ensure the filter adjusted to "Highest Rated", and then apply it to make those videos appear.

UPDATE-1 : I got errors whenever I tried watching videos belonging to other players. I can remember this still being possible sometime last year. I'd hate to say this, but it looks like "Date Night" has also become an achievement impossible to get, just like "In the Money".

UPDATE-2 : I was able to watch theater records at my second try, several days following the comment's post date). apparently, it wasn't a permanent issue when I tried it at first. thanks @ShiftyMarmot for the info.

I was able to get the achievement about an hour ago, what i did was, go to Theater, then community, filter, filter it by highest rated, then watch one of the films or clips that appeared. Try that. :)

I only watched one and another (i think, it may have been the same clip), it was a Nuketown film Called 'ColdFire 41-1'. See if that one would work for you.

I guess Theater mode is random and boils down to luck. So some videos are watchable, and others aren't.

Sounds like a damaged database, which fits the picture, cause rank resets are still a thing.
