Lost Connection to Host - Potential Fix

I've experienced this server error a few times as many of you have probably too ...

I've been using this 'fix' and it has not failed me yet (fingers crossed).
Report back your experiences so we can tell if it truly does work

Here's what I do:

Once I see the letters of the map loading screen go to either side of my screen at the top, I know I will get a "lost connection to host error shortly."
For me it doesn't take long to load the map, but depending on your PC and graphic settings, your mileage may vary.

ANYHOW, do this once you suspect you will get this error:
-Hit Tilde (~)
-type " /quit " (without quotes with the slash [it quits the game right away, avoids further problems/glitches/reloading])
-Go to start
-Type "cmd"
-right click cmd, run as administrator
-type "ipconfig/flushdns"
-hit enter (it will flush your dns)
-Reload BO, let it reconnect and load the main menu
-Go to your first custom class and change something, anything - I always change my flash to a stun or to smoke
-Reload the server browser, you may notice that not all the servers you normally visit populate on the main server browser tab. I'm not sure why this is.... but to me it is a sign it worked (at least for me)
-Go to the "recent" tab and you should see your recent servers, this is how I connect to a server I frequent that doesn't show up on the main server browser page. If you leave that server to go to another, the main server browser tab will show all servers again
-This *should* work. I have not had it fail for me.

Closing game and restarting Steam also works. Although it's ridiculous that players have to be looking for their specific ways to actually play the game.

If someone wants to they can. I have stopped playing because of another rank reset, this time from a lost connection to host error I experienced. I lost whatever care I had at that point. I may return in the future, but it is highly doubtful at this point.
