Local files failing to validate

I keep verifying local game cache and says 1 file failed to validate will be reaquired, but when i verify again still 1 fail failed to validate. how do i fix this? i have uninstalled and reinstalled but still same message. thanks to anyone who can help

Maybe it is a staem file missing or corrupt..try reinstalling steam as well.

the game crashed on me once the other day and game lags now even on solo every once in awhile. my rig i7 3.5ghz, 16gb ram, gtx geforce 660 2gb OC, 2tb harddrive

video drivers geforce 320.18. i have geforce experience and automatically checks for driver updates. besides what would a video driver have to do with local game files not validating?

Reinstalled and updated DirectX?

try verifying local game cache, that usually fixxes any issue although mine still wont validate although i can still play
