Game-breaking glitch in Vorkuta

I just bought this game new a few days ago, and I've already encountered a game-breaking glitch. In Vorkuta, when you have to fight your way to the garage for step 6, Reznov disappears and doesn't open the door. I've tried restarting the level, the game, re-installing the game, just about everything, and nothing seems to work! Nothing on the internet is helping, besides an option that involves getting another disk, and I don't wanna spend money for a new one unless necessary, so please help!

How can I 'stop' it from overclocking?

Just so I can test it, then put it back if that's not the problem.

The problem is your computer I'd say. Look at programs on the bottom right, on the taskbar, the little icons. What are they all for?

NVIDIA settings, Steam, my anti-virus, volume, wi-fi, battery life, etc. I'd be confused if it was my computer, this is the first game that's ever given me major trouble, and I've got a lot of games.

Have you tried reinstalling Steam? Or starting a new Black Ops file? This is a bit more than just starting a new game, you need to actually delete the file to start over.

Yeah, I have tried starting a new file, and reinstalling Steam, nothing seems to work.

AMD Athlon 64 x2 dual core processor 5000+
my graphics card : ATI Radeon HD 2400 can i run black ops or black ops 2?

I tried reinstalling the game again today, and got it working! Replayed the game to that point, and I kept a close eye on Reznov. He didn't disappear, so I could finally advance. And so far so good for my progress in the game, so thanks for all your help!

Also, consider the fact that you shouldn't really game on a laptop because it can overheat as well.
