Error/crash in black ops rezurrection maps
Hi, i recently bought black ops 1 on online key store and i didn't realize that the game language was russian. anyway, i activated and installed it on steam and of course, when i launched the game, it was in russian. i found a "russian to english" patch that worked perfectly (Link removed ) and i was able to play the whole game in english.

---- The big problem is this: i bought the rezurrection zombie map pack on steam after, and the only map that works is moon. when i try to play the other 4 maps it always crashes and says "Error-can´t load image,..." and the game stops working. I reinstaled the game about 5 times and i noticed that the only way that i could play those maps is if i don't install the english patch in the game (the patch doesn't include the dlc files, but even when i install the patch and keep the dlc files, it crashes)

Anyone who knows how to translate the game to english without ruining the dlc, please leave a comment!

My pc has an i5 3570k, gtx 660, 8gb RAM and 1tb segate barracuda with windows 8 pro.

1. You're not even allowed to be buying keys from online store. The "I didn't know it was in Russian" is a load of lies as you need to be on a Russian IP to activate the game, so you knew very well the game is in Russian.

2. You're also not allowed to be modfiying the language files, or any of the language files in fact.

3. Verify the game cache.

4. The only way is to rebuy the game in English, though you will first need to get Steam Support to remove the existing game from your account in order to do so.
Thanks anyway, the game on onlinekeystore didn´t mension it was russian. i realised it was russian when i was activating it it. i just didn´t tell you that part because i thought it didn´t matter. Also, onlinekeystore IS LEGAL and , come on, if you had a russian game that you could´t understand anything of, wouldn´t you translate it?!
the cache is fine and i´m not going to buy the game again

Legal or not you are still not allowed to do this on Steam. And it was a bit obvious when you had to connect via a Russian IP to activate it.

If you're not going to re-buy the game in English, then we have nothing more to discuss. You only bought the game on there so it was cheaper, this does count as tax evasion in the US and it is pretty much a middle finger to Valve. In future I'd suggest purchasing keys from within your own country.
I know, from now on i´m going to purchase on steam only, if i had any idea the game was russian i wouldn´t have bought it. a friend of mine told me he had bought games in oks with no problems and, since it was cheaper i tried it.

You should contact Steam Support about your issue. But most probably you'll need the russian version to be removed and buy a non-restricted version on your account in order to play the game in English.
