Installing game from retail version (cd version)

i saw this game at target for $20 (and i know it requires steam) what would be the instructions to install this game from the cd, also is the cd required to be put in the cd drive while playing this game

You only really need the key that comes inside the case to activate the game on Steam. You can pretty much throw the game case away after that.

so i dont need to put the cd in and all i need to do is put the key in and i dont have to put in cd in the disc drive, if so that is awesome

okay thanks buddy, i dont even know why they even need to put the cd in their if the code just activates it all, also i would be saving 20 dollars less than the original steam copy

Not everyone can download quickly off Steam. The game is a fair few GB large.

i know i hear its like 8 or 10 gb, its just cool that i can now play my favorite call of duty on pc for a good price

hey this seems like a late message but i did what u said, insetr the cd key without the cd in drive, and it all worked

I got the game for 12$ by buying it on CD. Way better than paying however much it costs on steam.
