Mouse spazzing
I didn't play Call of Duty: Black Ops in some time and I remember having no problem with my old mouse, now that I got the game from a shared account I'm having problems with my mouse, I bought it some months ago and it works fine with other games, it's a Corsair Dark Core RGB Pro SE, I searched on the internet and found a lot of threads and tried all the solutions (even the one regarding BO2, the game engine is the same so I tried those too), like putting "-noforcemaccel -noforcemparms" as launch options, changing game settings such as v-sync and even closing Corsair iCue (other people were experiencing problems with Razer Synapse so I tried that too) but nothing worked, the mouse works normally most of the time but I get these 90 degrees movements even if I'm moving the mouse slowly and after that, the mouse works normally then after some time it happens again and so on, it really messes up my aim, it doesn't seem to happen every x seconds, when I'm moving fast and I turn around often it happens more frequently, I also get lag spikes every 10 seconds or so (it happens with every graphics setting), and it's weird because the rest of the time the game runs flawlessly, my PC can handle it, these problems are making the game unplayable for me.

you can reduce the polling rate (or report rate as synonym) and play the game again, if you currently use it at 1000 Hz. some CoD games cause weird reactions by the mouse when played with a mouse utilizing 1000 Hz. it happened to me in black ops 2 and since then I reduced it to 250 and also modified my sensitivity accordingly.

Dude you're a life saver, I had my polling rate set to 2000 hz, setting it on 1000 hz did the trick, still haven't found a fix to the mini freezes tho, they happen even when starting a map in zombies

I'm not sure how mini-stutters are completely fixed but turning of Vsnyc and enabling shader warming improves the situation. shader warming was a last minute option added after the game's release, to solve such issues. I think it just pre-renders some textures while the map is loaded. causes a few seconds of delay when the map is loaded but provides a little smoother experience. you can also reduce the anti-aliasing setting a bit or try setting a higher framerate cap by manually editing a command line inside game's config files. default fps cap is 91 for this game (seen as 85 on config file, for some reason).

a thread about how to modify or remove fps cap in black ops 1;
