Game crashes in first mission repeatedly
**Beginning of game spoilers ahead**

I just started playing this on Steam. I got past the driving section at the start, which then cut to a mission where I was on ziplines to infiltrate a bunker where Castro was.

After killing him, I escape into an area with enemies coming from different points, and the team heads down stairs.

On my first time through, the game crashed here. On my second loadup, I had to start from the beginning all over again for some reason. I moved a bit faster this time, knowing what lay ahead, so I'm not sure if that's why I got a bit farther. This time, we had gone downstairs and were out a door in a courtyard gunning down enemies, with a teammate saying something like, "Carlos(?) should be here by now." Shortly thereafter, while shooting at peeps, game crashes again.

I'm hesitant to replay a third time if this keeps happening, but I *do* want to play! I'm just not sure what's causing the crash. I am running on Windows 10, NVIDIDIA GTX 970 with drivers up to date, Antivirus is Avast but it's in Silent/Gaming mode, only other open apps are Chrome, Raptr and Bandicam. Steam of course, too.

Any ideas?

EDIT: This has happened a third time now, too. I tried running in Win7 compatibility mode with Admin rights. The game won't start at all if Admin rights are turned on, so I turned that off, kept Win7, it started again. It again crashed at the courtyard. I'm thinking this is related to amount of time in the game before it crashes (around 15 mins) as opposed to something triggering it, but I don't know what to do to fix it.

Do all Windows updates?

All Windows and driver updates are up to date.

Sounds like you've done most of the usual troubleshooting. Windows 10 can be excessive, to say the least, with memory usage and disk usage. Apps like Chrome and Raptr can be very memory intensive and contribute to high disk usage as well, especially if you haven't disabled things like peer-to-peer Windows updates, things that are running in the background on Win 10.

When I first installed Win 10, I had crashes with many games and even full PC restarts. Turns out my PC was keeping 100% disk usage almost all of the time. You should probably check out things like that, hardware temps maybe. Not sure, but I know this kind of thing is annoying and seems impossible to fix.

I do not.
