How to download standard Multiplayer Maps
Hi, I want to know how to download the Multiplayer Map packs for Call of Duty Black ops 1 on PC! I'm not talking about the separate DLC. When I went to set up a custom game of Multiplayer it stated to load then said I needed these map packs for the standard maps in the game in order to play. The problem is I don't where to find these. It said download it somewhere on Steam because this is the version of the game I have. I looked everywhere I can possibly think of but no luck. I just want to play some multiplayer. It would be great if someone can help me!

really strange. as multiplayer part of the game is already installed on disk, it shouldn't say anything like that for non-DLC maps. but I've recently come across a similar case about the nuketown map, so my only suggestion would be; just join a public match on server list and play for a couple mins there, and later you can try starting a private match (or combat training) again, to see whether the error is gone now. if the issue still persists, you might also verify integrity of game files on steam, preferably for both parts of the game. other than these possible fixes, I don't have any idea about how to solve this problem.

Combat training worked fine for me though.

I have the same problem, they told me to download the maps... But where i can download them ?

I was told to try to play a few public matches so it could download the maps somehow.

Simple join a puplic match aka a ranked server and the maps should be downloaded automaticaly.
